This is what we do. Tell stories. Renting houses is just a facade. Every time guests arrive, our job is to tell them a story, to intrigue, to make them dream. We have ninety-nine steps for the prologue, amidst heavy breathing, laughter and thought-out curses. We have ninety-nine steps to test the waters, to sense the moods, to figure out where to start.
And when you open the front door and look out over the sea… you read the dedication aloud and the story begins.
Vernazza Rentals is precisely this, because every house, every apartment, every villa has its own story waiting to be told. It has a History with a capital "H" made of roots, sacrifices, legends, and a story that is enriched, expanded, cut and stitched together after each departing guest. The script is just a rough outline and it's improvised each time with a handful of memorized sentences.
It doesn't matter if it's raining or shining, if the evening light turns the terraces yellow or if the sea roars in a storm, throwing its waves onto the rocks.
It doesn't matter if the person in front of you is nice, unpleasant, talkative or serious. It doesn't matter if they listen to you in silence or ask you interested questions. It doesn't matter if you seem nice or just boring.
The only thing that matters is the one that when you say goodbye and close the door behind you, you've written the end of your story, but they've just written the beginning of theirs.
